Summer Stars Reading Challenge

What to Expect

The Summer Stars Reading Challenge encourages children aged up to 12 to read for fun during school holidays. Each child who registers receives a Summer Stars activity pack. Participants can read novels, graphic novels, picture books, audiobooks or eBooks. Children who complete the challenge receive a certificate, medal and are entered into prize draws at their local library branch, with prizes including Castleview Open Farm vouchers.

Good to Know

The programme runs from June 2 to August 31 across all Laois library branches. Free Summer Stars events and activities take place throughout June, July and August at each branch. Booking for events opens two weeks before each event. Contact your local library branch to register and for full event schedules.
