Carrick Camino 2026

What to Expect

The Carrick Camino is a 35km walk/hike from Ballyfarnon, Co. Roscommon, to Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim. Starting at 6am, participants follow a marked route encompassing parts of the Miners Way, Leitrim Way, and Blueway, with the entire route clearly marked with Carrick Camino signage. The event is organized by Carrick-on-Shannon Chamber of Commerce, with all funds raised supporting the betterment of the town and surrounding areas.

Good to Know

Participants should be prepared for a full-day walking event. The route covers approximately 35km over varied terrain. Support and information checkpoints are provided along the way.

Getting There

The walk starts at Market Yard Centre in Carrick-on-Shannon. Transport from the finish line back to starting points can be arranged. Parking available at Market Yard Centre.
