Ballyhaise-born singer-songwriter Lisa O’Neill brings her Ulster tour to the Townhall Arts Centre on Saturday, 12 September 2026, a home date for one of Irish folk music’s most distinctive voices. O’Neill has built her reputation on literate, plain-spoken songwriting and a voice that critics single out as unlike anyone else working in Irish music, and a Cavan show carries extra weight given she grew up in the county. The Townhall’s main auditorium, a converted nineteenth-century courthouse and theatre in the centre of Cavan town, is the venue’s flagship room for touring artists of this size.
Doors for Townhall Arts Centre shows open at 6:30pm with the performance starting at 8pm sharp, the venue’s standard format for a seated concert night. Expect an evening built around O’Neill’s own catalogue rather than a covers set, drawing on the songwriting that won her the RTE Choice Music Prize for Irish Album of the Year, delivered in the intimate, wood-panelled setting of the Townhall’s restored auditorium.
