An annual jumble sale and cake sale in aid of Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin, is held alongside Roscommon Agricultural Show on Saturday, 15 August 2026. It is a long-running fixture of the show for many locals, run by a small volunteer committee rather than the show organisers themselves, and it has become one of the more reliable annual fundraisers for the hospital from within the county.
The stall sells a mix of donated jumble, secondhand goods and home baking, set up on the show grounds for the day so it catches the crowds attending the wider agricultural show. Prices are kept low and turnover brisk, since the point is to clear stock and raise as much as possible for the hospital rather than to run a formal sale. It has a friendly, informal feel typical of a charity table at a country show, staffed by volunteers who do this every year, and donations of jumble or baking ahead of the day are generally welcomed by the organisers.
Roscommon Show takes place on the show grounds outside Roscommon town, reachable via the N60 and N61, with Bus Éireann services connecting the town to Dublin, Galway and Athlone for anyone travelling without a car. Parking is provided on site as part of the show.
