Dromore Summer Festival

At Dromore town centre · Main Street, Dromore, Co. Tyrone

Street festival with music stage on Main Street, Dromore

Dromore’s summer festival takes over the small West Tyrone town for four days, Thursday 20 to Sunday 23 August 2026, built around Main Street rather than a single ticketed site. A Session Trail runs music sessions in pubs and venues around the town across the whole weekend, giving it the feel of a proper trad-music crawl rather than one big stage. The weekend builds toward Sunday, when Main Street closes for a Fleadh outdoor stage with a lineup that has included The Porter Bellys, the Damien Mullane Trio and Pearse Larkin.

What to expect

Friday 21 August brings a Vintage Car and Tractor Rally through the town, a fixture that draws entrants and spectators from across the wider Clogher Valley and West Tyrone area. Saturday 22 August is the busiest single day: the Dromore 10K and 5K road race runs through the town centre in the morning, followed immediately by a free family fun day at St Dympna’s Primary School with bouncy castles, face painting, live music and health and wellbeing stalls from local groups. Locally, this whole weekend is also referred to as the Comhaltas Summer Music Festival, reflecting the traditional-music organisation behind much of the session and Fleadh programming. Sunday’s street closure for the outdoor stage is the festival’s set-piece finish, with Main Street given over to music and street entertainment for the afternoon and evening.

Getting there

Dromore sits on the Fermanagh and Omagh border in west Tyrone, roughly midway between Omagh and Enniskillen on the A32. The festival is centred on Main Street in the town centre, an easy walk from parking around the town; expect road closures around the vintage rally and the Sunday Fleadh stage, so allow extra time if driving through on those days.

While you’re in Dromore

A festival weekend is a good excuse to see a small Tyrone town at its busiest and most sociable. There is more to see in Dromore and across Co. Tyrone.
