Being an outdoor market in the town centre, it runs weather permitting but operates year round, and there is no charge to browse or admission fee, with vendors dealing in cash. Clonmel’s size as the county’s largest town means the market tends to draw a reasonably steady crowd through the morning rather than tapering off quickly.
Clonmel sits on the N24, roughly midway between Waterford and Limerick, with Bus Eireann services and a rail connection on the Limerick Junction line. The market operates in the town centre, within walking distance of the main car parks along the River Suir and O’Connell Street.
