Bernard Casey at Donoghue's Comedy Club

Donoghue’s Irish Pub in Cashel runs its regular stand-up comedy club night on Saturday, 5 September 2026, headlined by Kerry comedian Bernard Casey. Tom O’Mahony, the promoter behind the club, hosts the night, with Aaron McCarthy providing support. Doors open at 8pm for an 8:30pm start, and the show runs for around two and a half hours, finishing by 11pm.

What to expect

Donoghue’s Comedy Club puts a touring headline act into a working pub rather than a purpose-built venue, which makes for a closer, louder room than a theatre show. Casey’s stand-up has built a following on the Irish comedy circuit, and as headliner he carries the second half of the bill after McCarthy’s support set and O’Mahony’s hosting. Getting there

Donoghue’s is on Main Street in Cashel, close to the Rock of Cashel and the town’s other pubs and restaurants. Cashel is served by Bus Éireann routes between Dublin, Cork and Limerick, and there is public parking around the town centre.
