KATSEYE: Wild Hearts - Arc Cinema Drogheda

At Arc Cinema Drogheda · Scotch Hall Shopping Centre, Drogheda, Co. Louth

Cinema screen at Arc Cinema Drogheda

KATSEYE: Wild Hearts is a global cinema event built around the K-pop-influenced girl group KATSEYE, timed to land two days ahead of the release of their third EP. Arc Cinema Drogheda is showing it as a limited engagement, with a Wednesday evening screening followed by a Saturday matinee, and it plays as an event cinema title rather than a standard daily listing.

What to expect

Directed by Nadia Hallgren, the filmmaker behind Michelle Obama’s documentary Becoming, Wild Hearts runs around 80 minutes and mixes never-before-seen behind-the-scenes footage with fan-submitted videos from the group’s EYEKONS fanbase and intimate interviews with the members themselves. KATSEYE are a multinational group who came together through a televised competition format before building a large global following, and the film leans on that origin story alongside more recent footage from studio sessions and touring life. Distributed by Trafalgar Releasing for a worldwide limited theatrical run, the film opened in cinemas globally on 12 August 2026, with tickets on general sale from mid-July through the usual event cinema booking channels, timed deliberately just before the release of the group’s third EP two days later. Rather than a concert film, it is framed as an exploration of the bond between the group and its fandom, built from access footage rather than a single live performance. At Arc Cinema Drogheda it runs for two screenings only, an evening slot on the Wednesday opening night and a lunchtime matinee the following Saturday, so anyone planning to go needs to book into one of those two fixed times rather than turning up on spec as they might for a regular film.

Getting there

Arc Cinema Drogheda is inside Scotch Hall Shopping Centre on the south bank of the Boyne, a short walk from Drogheda town centre and the bus station. Drogheda sits on the M1 motorway roughly 50km north of Dublin, with frequent Irish Rail and Bus Eireann services from Dublin on the Dublin-Belfast line and Drogheda MacBride station within easy walking distance of the shopping centre. Scotch Hall has its own multi-storey car park serving the shopping centre and cinema directly, useful given the Wednesday evening screening falls after most on-street parking in the town centre has gone free.
