At Rosenallis · Rosenallis, Co. Laois
Rosenallis holds its Festival of the Mountain and Vintage Rally on Sunday, 16 August 2026, from midday to 6:00pm, billed by organisers as the biggest edition of the festival yet. The village, which sits at the foot of the Slieve Bloom Mountains, fills for the day with a vintage rally, a trad music tent, family activities and outdoor pursuits, drawing visitors from across the surrounding countryside.
The programme mixes an active outdoor side with a more sociable one. Archery and complimentary yoga sessions run on the mountain itself, while a dedicated trad music tent hosts traditional Irish music and dance for anyone who prefers to stay closer to the village. Families are well catered for with free face painting, live animals to meet and a dog show, alongside the vintage rally that gives the day its name, expected to bring a strong turnout of vintage tractors and vehicles into the village. The combination of mountain activities, music and a vintage show under one festival banner is what organisers point to when they describe this as the festival’s biggest year yet.
