What to Expect

Naomh Moninne meet St Fechins in the 2026 Louth Senior Hurling Championship final at Integral GAA Grounds, the county’s top club hurling decider of the year. St Fechins reached the final with a hard-fought 0-19 to 1-9 win over Knockbridge in their semi-final, having needed a stoppage-time point to salvage a draw against the same opposition in an earlier round of the round-robin series. Naomh Moninne, the Dundalk club that founded the All-Ireland Poc Fada competition back in 1960, came through their own semi-final in late July to complete the final pairing. Both clubs also have interests in the county’s parallel Kevin McGahon Cup, Louth GAA’s other hurling knockout competition, which reaches its own final four days earlier in the same week. Whoever wins on 9 August takes the county’s senior hurling title for 2026 and goes forward to represent Louth in the subsequent provincial club hurling series later in the year.

• Club hurling in Louth is concentrated in a handful of clubs, so this final is the single biggest hurling occasion on the county calendar each summer

Getting There

Integral GAA Grounds is just off Cross Lane on the southern side of Drogheda town, a short drive from the M1 motorway and Drogheda’s train station, with on-site parking for spectators.
