What to Expect

“she/they and me” is a new work in progress by Paula Greevy-Lee, developed under Droichead Arts Centre’s Associate Artist scheme for 2026 and presented as a staged reading rather than a fully staged production. Greevy-Lee is an actor, singer and writer with more than thirty years in theatre and film, trained at the Gaiety School of Acting before winning a scholarship to New York’s American Musical and Dramatic Academy, and she holds an MA in Modern Drama from UCD supported by a Dublin City Council Arts Bursary. She recently toured nationally with her one woman show, A Rare Journey, Nora Joyce’s Odyssey, and her earlier play Still Time, about three women sharing a prison cell, won an Arts Council Agility Award and had a staged reading at Smock Alley Theatre in Dublin. Droichead names a small group of associate artists each year to develop new scripts with the centre’s support, and Greevy-Lee is one of two named for 2026 alongside poet and playwright Dagogo Hart, with this reading forming the public outcome of her year’s development work.

Getting There

Droichead Arts Centre is on Stockwell Street in Drogheda town centre, beside the Drogheda Municipal Centre and library, within walking distance of the bus and rail stations. Drogheda is just off the M1 motorway roughly 50km north of Dublin, with frequent Enterprise and commuter trains from Dublin Connolly taking about 45 minutes.
