At Grange Park Bandstand · Grange Park, Mountjoy Road, Omagh, Co. Tyrone
Fermanagh and Omagh District Council’s Seasonal Outdoor Music Programme returns to the bandstand at Grange Park, Omagh every Sunday afternoon throughout July and August 2026. It is a free, family-friendly slot in the town’s summer calendar, giving local musicians and bands a stage in front of a park audience rather than a formal venue crowd. The series has become a regular fixture of the Omagh summer since the council relaunched outdoor music programming, with a new act each week.
Performances run from 1pm to 3.30pm each Sunday, with a different local act taking the bandstand each week, covering folk, brass, choral and contemporary styles rather than a single genre. Acts confirmed for the programme have included Mad as Folk, St Eugene’s Brass and Reed Band, St Mary’s Silver Band, Foxtrot Uniform and other local performers, with the council inviting both established and emerging musicians to take part. There is no seating provided, so most people bring a fold-up chair or a blanket and treat it as a picnic in the park. The programme is designed as a low-key community event rather than a ticketed festival, and it runs rain or shine, weather permitting, for the full run through July and August.
Grange Park is just off Mountjoy Road, a short walk from Omagh town centre, with parking available at the park itself. The park is one of the council’s flagship green spaces and holds Green Flag Award status.
Omagh is Co. Tyrone’s county town, with the Ulster American Folk Park and the Strule Arts Centre both nearby, and the Strule river walkway running close to Grange Park itself. There is more to see in Omagh and across Co. Tyrone.
