At The Burnavon · Burn Road, Cookstown, Co. Tyrone, BT80 8DN
Country singer Claudia Buckley, known as the Galway Girl, brings her new touring show to The Burnavon in Cookstown on Friday, 2 October 2026. Buckley is a four-time winner of Female Vocalist of the Year and returns to the road after a sell-out 2025 tour, with special guests Jimmy Buckley and Sandy Kelly joining her for the Cookstown date.
The show mixes Buckley’s own chart hits, including the self-penned “Honey Bee”, with material from her number one albums and staples of the Irish country scene. With Jimmy Buckley and Sandy Kelly both on the bill, this is a fuller country music night than a standard solo concert, giving the Burnavon crowd three established acts across one evening rather than a single headline set. Buckley’s sound sits in the traditional Irish country mould, built for a listening and dancing audience rather than a seated theatre crowd, and her live shows are known for warm, chatty introductions between songs. Expect the Burnavon’s main auditorium set up for a concert night, with the venue’s bar open before and after the show. This kind of triple-bill country night is a regular fixture on the Burnavon’s autumn programme and tends to draw from across Mid Ulster rather than just Cookstown itself.
The Burnavon is on Burn Road in Cookstown town centre, with a free public car park next to the building. Cookstown’s main street and bus stops are a short walk away.
A country music night at the Burnavon is a good reason to make an evening of Cookstown’s town centre. There is more to see and do in Cookstown, and further afield across Co. Tyrone.
