Bingo Loco at The Imperial Bar and Nightclub, Cavan

At The Imperial Bar and Nightclub · 47 Main Street, Townparks, Cavan Town, Co. Cavan

Bingo Loco rave bingo night at The Imperial Bar and Nightclub, Cavan Town

Bingo Loco takes a format everyone recognises - numbers, dabbers, and a room full of people staring at their cards - and turns it into something much louder. This is rave bingo: part club night, part game show, part group therapy. It suits anyone who wants a proper night out with friends and can handle confetti in their hair. The Imperial Bar and Nightclub on Cavan’s Main Street is a fitting venue for it; named IMRO’s National Live Music Venue of the Year in 2024, the place is well used to a crowd that wants more than a quiet pint.

What to expect

On arrival you collect your bingo book and marker, find your seats, and settle in for three games of bingo - played properly, with real numbers and real prizes. The difference is everything happening around the bingo itself. Confetti cannons go off. There are lip-sync battles between rounds. DJs play 90s and 00s tracks at volume. Random audience members get pulled into dance-offs. Prizes lean eclectic: holidays sit alongside lawnmowers and oversized teddy bears.

The Imperial’s nightclub space - upstairs from the main bar - holds the event. The Keogan family have been running events there for over 20 years, so the logistics tend to be solid: bar service, sound, and a room that knows how to handle a crowd. Bingo Loco has been touring Ireland since 2017 and has refined the format across hundreds of shows; the pacing is tight and the energy rarely drops between rounds.

Tickets are from €25 and the show sells out well in advance at most stops on the tour.

Getting there

Cavan Town is roughly 1 hour 20 minutes from Dublin on the N3/M3, and around 40 minutes from Monaghan and Enniskillen. Bus Eireann runs regular services on the Dublin - Cavan route (route 30X) and from Monaghan and Enniskillen into the town. The Imperial is on Main Street, a short walk from the bus station on Farnham Street. Parking is available in the town centre car parks off Main Street and on Farnham Street; on a Saturday evening spaces are generally available.

While you’re in Cavan

Cavan Town sits at the edge of the lake district that makes the county famous. If you are travelling from Dublin or the east it is worth arriving early - the town has good spots for food and drink before the show, and the area rewards a longer stay. There is more to see in Cavan and across Co. Cavan.
