Attitude Disco at TIME Venue in Cookstown is billed as Northern Ireland’s biggest teenage nightclub, and the summer run of events is where that reputation earns its keep. Beach party nights, guest DJ sets and themed evenings are the format: proper club production, strobes and sound, just without the over-18s. Attitude Disco runs the under-18 nights exclusively in the 14 to 17 age bracket, so the crowd is peer-group only. Cookstown sits roughly in the centre of Northern Ireland, on the A29 which runs north to Maghera and south to Dungannon. From Belfast, it is about an hour on the M1 and then the A29. From Derry, the A6 to Maghera and then south brings you in under an hour. Direct bus services connect Cookstown to Dungannon, Magherafelt and Omagh via Translink; check the Translink journey planner for the Saturday evening timetable before you go. James Street is in the town centre and on-street parking is available nearby, with the bus station a short walk away.
Cookstown is a market town with one of the longest and straightest main streets in Ireland - it makes for a striking walk and there are cafes and takeaways that see plenty of pre-disco trade on summer evenings.
