Louth Volunteer Centre Information Clinic, Ardee Library

Louth Volunteer Centre runs an information clinic at Ardee Library on the second and fourth Thursday of every month, from 10am to 1pm, with the next session on Thursday, 13 August 2026. The clinic is by appointment and gives people in the Ardee area a chance to talk through volunteering options without having to travel to the centre’s main offices in Dundalk or Drogheda.

What to expect

Louth Volunteer Centre matches people who want to volunteer with local organisations that need help, covering everything from befriending schemes and meals on wheels to sports clubs, festivals and charity shops, and it also helps organisations with Garda vetting and volunteer management. At the Ardee clinic, a staff member goes through what is available locally, helps with registration and answers questions about time commitment, vetting requirements and specific roles, rather than running it as an open information evening. The centre is affiliated to Volunteer Ireland and is one of twenty-one Volunteer Centres nationally, and throughout 2026 it is running a “26 of 26” campaign highlighting volunteer stories from across the county. Anyone aged 15 to 18 can also be pointed toward youth-specific volunteering roles through the same clinic.

Ardee Library is on Market Street in the centre of Ardee, on the N2 between Dundalk and Slane, within walking distance of the town’s main car parks.
